Jessica Chastain, 38, knows how to use crimson to her advantage!
The starlet showed off her curves on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about her disturbing role in Crimson Peak on Friday night (Oct. 16), and she taking the film's title quite literally—at least when it came to the wardrobe department. The actress wore a fitted cherry red sleeveless dress, with just a hint of skin showing through a diamond cut-out above her chest. She wore her shoulder-length amber locks in loose waves while keeping her makeup look in the rosy category. She completed the ensemble with Christian Louboutin open-toed nude stiletto heels, the red-lacquered bottoms tying the entire vision together. (See, above and below.)
Chastain spoke about her character Lucille Sharp in Crimson Peak: "You can say I'm really creepy, super creepy. Didn't someone say that playing the creepy parts are usually a lot of fun? It's actually a lot of fun to watch it, shooting it was a bit tough. It was really dark. The last 20 minutes of the film are so intense and it takes a lot of energy."
Chastain was joined by castmates Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston, and director Guillermo Del Toro. Naturally if there wasn't a selfie to prove it, it didn't happen. She posted a picture of the group on Instagram after the show. (See, below.)
