Jessica Alba couldn’t stop beaming as she arrived at the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies in Beverly Hills, Calif. Friday—and for good reason.
The Honest Company founder was not only there to celebrate parents at the event who recently welcomed children, but to receive the organization’s Grace Kelly Award as well. Clad in a strapless printed dress that Alba said felt “like luncheon,” the mom of two gushed to InStyle over her excitement about being honored.
“It’s quite an honor and it’s so humbling,” Alba continued. Although her husband, Cash Warren and her mom Catherine Jensen were on hand to support her, Alba’s good friend, Rachel Zoe, presented her with the clear trophy, telling InStyle earlier in the day how proud she is of her. “She’s extraordinary, she’s a dear friend, she deserves every single bit of honor and respect that she gets from anyone, anywhere,” Rachel said. “She works so hard. She’s an extraordinary mom, incredible wife, entrepreneur, she’s a force.”
The Grace Kelly Award recognizes Alba’s commitment to help families and give all babies a healthy start in life. As she took the stage to say her speech, Alba gave Zoe a big hug and proceeded to talk to the audience about the work of the March of Dimes and how her Honest Company has helped more than 120,000 children during its four-year existence. “As a mother, an advocate, an entrepreneur, I’ve profoundly moved and grateful to the March of Dimes for this recognition,” the young mogul said as she wrapped up her speech.
Mindy Kaling, who rocked a Peter Pilotto dress and Marc Jacobs boots, was on hand as well to present the Inspiring Woman of the Year award to the President of Universal Television, Bela Bajaria. As she adjusted her Kate Spade polar bear ring, Kaling called the event, “such a worthy and pure cause.” She added that Bajaria is the “person who kind of gave me my start and helped me with my show and has ben championing me for such a long time. So, whenever I can have an opportunity to support her I love her.”
Feeling the all-around power woman love, Molly Sims also popped up at the event to present the Prematurity Champion award to Dr. Michele Hakahkha, who helped her with one of her pregnancies when she was dealing with complications during it.
