Jennifer Lawrence is having a Hollywood moment! The 23-year-old actress, who is fresh off her Academy Award win for best actress in Silver Linings Playbook, has just signed on for the movie adaptation of Jeannette Walls' memoir, The Glass Castle. Published in 2006, the novel chronicles Walls' difficult childhood from the southwest desert towns and mountains to a West Virginia mining town, where she and her siblings dealt with their alcoholic father and lived in poverty until they left home. This is the latest project Lawrence has on the horizon; she has a pretty big year ahead of her, and it's starting with the November 22nd release of Catching Fire, the second installment in the Hunger Games franchise. Lawrence will also be reprising her role of Katniss Everdeen starring opposite of Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth for the third film, Mockingjay, which has already started production with Julianne Moore (District 13's President Alma Coin). Side-stepping her Hunger Games character, Lawrence is also starring in American Hustle, whose trailer was just released today and hits theaters on December 13th (and looks amaaaaazing), as the wife of con-artist Irving Rosenfeld's (Christian Bale) alongside Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams. Not only will Lawrence be ending the year with two films hitting the big screen, but she has also signed on with two other movie adaptations including Hannah Kent's "Burial Rites" and John Steinbeck's "East of Eden." We're looking forward to clocking in loads of Jennifer Lawrence time both on-screen and on the red carpet, we can't wait to see what she's up to next!
