Another day, another achievement for Jennifer Lawrence. Hot on the heels of the final Hunger Games film's release, Entertainment Weekly announced that the star has been named their 2015 Entertainer of the Year, and for good reason. The actress is the highest-paid in Hollywood and has been nominated for three Academy Awards, one of which she took home. Not bad for a 25-year-old.
Lawrence is smoldering on the cover of this week's issue of the magazine, but inside she lets her funny flag fly. In addition to talking about the end of the Hunger Games franchise, the actress dishes on her friendship with comedienne Amy Schumer, as well as what's next for her.
"It's crazy," Lawrence tells EW. "I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, 'Oh my God, I’m going to be 25 when I’m finished.' It seemed so far away." And while the Kentucky native does admit that the end of the series comes at the right time, there is a bit of melancholy in her attitude towards it. "It does feel over. It didn’t for a while and I didn’t think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that’s okay. It’s okay to move on."
In a video that was released along with the announcement, Lawrence jokes about dancing on top of Billy Joel's piano and the thought processes that go into deciding to do a film, all while sipping on a beer. Watch it below, plus head over to ew.com to read the full story.
