It’s tough not to feel nervous when all eyes are on you, but Jennifer Garner oozed confidence Sunday night in St. Paul, Minn., where the brunette beauty was on hand for the Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala in her honor.
The 44-year-old actress hit the red carpet and, as expected, turned heads in a perfectly fitted black Victoria Beckham gown with an asymmetrical neckline and a low-cut design. She rocked several standout pieces of jewelry and carried a simple black clutch, which complemented her loosely styled wavy locks.
So what exactly was Garner being celebrated for? According to People, Steven Sawalich of the Starkey Hearing Foundation brought Garner on stage and asked the audience to clap for the star’s work with Save the Children, which empowers underprivileged kids everywhere.
“Her name is recognizable in the entertainment world as an award-winning performer,” Sawalich said. “She’s a talented and beautiful actress, but one of my favorite callings about Jennifer Garner, is that, many of you may or may know, is her far-reaching effect in the philanthropic world and her passion for advocacy for early childhood education.”
Garner received a memorable medal for her efforts and moved on to deliver a rousing acceptance speech. “It’s an honor to be here with you all, it’s an honor now especially at the end of the night to receive this award,” she reportedly said, also joking about receiving a major necklace.
Sounds like one unforgettable evening.
