Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie will make an exclusive appearance New York City on November 9 for an advance screening of their new film Shelter. And the event, presented by the New York Film Critics Series, will do more than just give viewers a sneak peek at the movie, it will also increase awareness about the hundreds of thousands of Americans who are homeless.

Shelter follows a Nigerian immigrant, Tahir (Mackie's character) and a drug addict named Hannah, played by Connelly. The two characters fall in love with each other, but the devastating truth is that they're both homeless on the streets of N.Y.C.  The riveting film decodes their astonishing pasts and proves that the two ultimately need each other in order to create a brighter future.
