Jared Leto has officially said farewell to his long, flowing, perfectly ombréd hair and scruffy beard.
The actor debuted a brand-new look on Monday that included a much shorter ’do and a clean-shaven face and teased to the process on Instagram. "I miss my beard already," he captioned the below photo, hinting that his long hair wasn't the only thing that he was doing away with.
The director of Suicide Squad, David Ayer, was the one to share the first photos of Leto's new look, posting a drool-worthy pic (pictured at top, on right) of the actor sans beard and with a close-cropped cut. As it turns out, the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman's transformation is for his role as the Joker in the movie.
Leto is no stranger to undergoing serious transformations for the sake of his film roles. In 2013, the actor dropped nearly 30 pounds to play Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club, a role which landed him an Oscar for best supporting actor. And while we'll surely miss Leto's signature long locks and ever-present scruff (there's even a Twitter hashtag, #RIPJaredLetosHair), it's safe to say that the actor and singer will look beyond sexy with any hairdo.
