Jared Leto isn’t afraid to experiment with highlighter-colored hairstyles and bold suits on the red carpet, so it’s no surprise that the fashion industry has officially taken notice. Just one month after becoming the face of Gucci’s Guilty scent, the upcoming Suicide Squad actor has been tapped as the star of eyewear company Carrera’s Spring 2016 campaign and its new Maverick project, which will introduce new styles of too-cool frames this February.
“I’ve known of Carerra since I was a kid,” Leto said in a statement, adding “and when I came across the Maverick project I was immediately connected to it as it talks about people that are brave, bold, that take risks, the wild horses, the people that are not afraid to fail, the type of people who have inspired my whole life.”
In addition to simply rocking the movie star-approved designs, Leto will also tap artists, musicians, and creative types to star in a video he’ll piece together for the brand. So can we expect the final results to wow? If the above image serves as any indication, it’s sure to be one for the fashion history books.
