January Jones debuted a brand new hair color, and it’s the perfect pastel shade for spring.
The Mad Men star shared a snap of her new pink ’do on Instagram last night, which she captioned "Call me 'Frenchie'.. Thanks for the dip @jenniferjbeauty." It's likely a reference to the iconic Grease character and member of the Pink Ladies, Frenchy, who rocked hot-pink hair in the film—though Jones's shade is much more muted and features hints of lavender.
And the actress even gave us a peek into her transformation process, first sharing a wet haired-selfie mid color change with the phrase: "Can you guess where I'm going with this? #backtomyroots."
We got the scoop on her color straight from her stylist: "It's always so fun doing January's color because she loves to take risks in fashion and beauty which allows me to play," Jennifer J. said. "I have been really excited about Wella's new Instamatic shades and I knew it would be so pretty on her. I used Pink Dream to get this color, but I lightened her hair first in order to get that beautiful pastel tone."

This isn't the first time Jones has colored her strands this hue: back in 2012 she added rose-gold highlights to her blonde locks because it was "time to do something different and fun." Now that filming for Mad Men has wrapped, we can expect to more hair switch-ups from the star in the future. One thing's certain: Jones definitely doesn't look like Betty Draper Francis anymore.
