Gwyneth Paltrow recently told us that the key to a successful holiday party is found in a killer, groovy playlist. So in order to cross our Ts and dot our Is before we host any guests this season, we caught up with Los Angeles-based DJ Michelle Pesce to find the perfect mix of songs that’ll kick off the festive spirit. So what’s behind the must-have selection? Pesce, who has provided tunes for events hosted by fashion brands like Tom Ford and Baja East, included classic Christmas favorites (think “Jingle Bells”) and hot, chart-topping singles that we can’t get enough of (think Adele’s “Hello”).

Check out the playlist below—and prepare to have the best time ever.
