In the spirit of year-end finality, IMDb’s publishing its annual best-of lists, which are based on the most visited profiles and pages of 2017.
Last week, we discovered who the top actors of the year were, and this week the site is delving into televisions series.
Though many of the top 10 are best-of alums, some of the top-searched series really aren’t what you might expect: Twin Peaks notably missed the mark, as did The Crown and This Is Us.
In addition to the popularity of on-air and streaming shows, IMDb also predicted the popularity of 2018 series that have yet to premiere with the Most Anticipated New TV Shows of 2018 list, which is as follows:

Unsurprisingly, Netflix's pop culture time capsule earned one of the top spots in IMDb's search roster.
4. Ricky and Morty
The series, which experienced a major bump in popularity this year, makes history as the first animated series to grace IMDb's Top TV list.
3. The Walking Dead
The cult favorite ranks the same as it did last year, at No. 3.
2. 13 REASONS WHY
Netflix's controversial teen series generated a ton of buzz in its premiere season, stealing the No. 2 spot and ousting previous mainstays like Orange Is the New Black.
1. Game of Thrones
For the sixth year running, HBO's record-breaking fantasy series nabbed the No. 1 spot on IMDb's year-end list.
