From those infamous Vivienne Westwood mountie hats to his light-reflective suit at the Grammy Awards, Pharrell Williams never fails to make a statement—and we love him for his sartorial prowess.

Therefore it comes as no surprise that he is being honored with the 2015 CFDA Fashion Icon Award, which is given to an individual whose style has made a significant impact on popular culture on an international stage.

"If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindness and openness. I cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him," said Diane von Furstenberg, President of the CFDA.

Williams joins the ranks of past superstar honorees like Rihanna, Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, Iman, Kate Moss, and Nicole Kidman. This year's CFDA Awards will take place on June 1 at Alice Tully Hall in New York City, and we can't wait to see what statement-making ensemble Pharrell wears for the star-studded occasion.
