Just like Jennifer Lawrence, whom Forbes dubbed the highest paid actress in the world, Dwayne Johnson, aka 'The Rock', is at the top of his game. The Ballers star topped the magazine's list of the highest paid actors in the world, raking in a whopping $64.5 million.
Johnson's 2016 earnings are more than double of that in 2015, making him the biggest financial gainer on this year's list as well. The action star's big bucks reportedly came from upfront fees for films including Central Intelligence, Fast 8 and Baywatch, aside from the dollars his other films, like San Andreas, brought into the box office.
The action star beat out Jackie Chan, who amassed $61 million with his films in China, and Matt Damon, who made $55 million, mostly from his movie The Martian. As for the rest of the top five, Tom Cruise landed in the fourth spot with $53 million, and Johnny Depp came in fifth with $48 million.
Johnson also pulled in nearly $20 million than Lawrence, whose $46 million earnings gave her the top spot on Forbes's list of highest-paid actresses. With many more films already slated to be released all the way through to 2019, The Rock's big-budget reign is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.
