Happy birthday, Michael Fassbender! The German-Irish actor, who turns 38 today, has quite the year to look forward to. Following his much-buzzed-about roles in Shame and 12 Years a Slave, for which he earned a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination, Fassbender is set to make an even bigger splash in 2015 with his depiction of Steve Jobs in the eponymous biopic, as well as in Macbeth, opposite Marion Cotillard.

When it comes to his grooming sessions, which includes moisturizing and Oribe hair products, before a large-scale event like a movie premiere or awards show (like last year's Golden Globes), the dapper star turns to '80s tunes. "Michael loves listening to music while getting groomed," personal groomer Anna Bernabe tells People. "Usually he likes to play different songs on YouTube," she shares. "On one occasion we went through an '80s phase, singing along to songs like Dire Straits' 'So Far Away.'" And we didn't think we could love him more!
