It's back to the bob for Jessica Alba! Just before attending the Hollywood Stand Up to Cancer event in Culver City, CA, the star's hairstylist Jen Atkin cut her lengthy curls into a shoulder-skimming crop. "Jessica's approach to style is always fearless, and she was ready for something fresh and new. This cut is edgy and chic -- it looks great air-dried with natural texture, or styled with hot tools," Atkin told InStyle.com exclusively. "We kept the front about 1" longer than the back at an angle, but still kept texture on the ends. It can still be worn up or down, sleek or wavy. I think versatility is key for her, and anyone wanting to try something new."
This isn't the first time Alba has rocked a long bob; The star has gone back and forth with the style for years, last revealing a similar look in September before her brief stint as a blonde. After letting her strands grow all winter long, it seems that her adventurous attitude to hair changes, -- perhaps passed down from her mother -- had gotten the best of her. "My mom went to beauty school when I was a kid, so she was constantly trying different things on my hair," Alba told InStyle previously. "I had a spiral perm when I was 8! I'll do anything to my hair if it's needed for a role I'm playing." That's the spirit! Take a closer look at Alba's new haircut, and see even more celebrity hair makeovers in our gallery.
