The first cast photos from Fox's Grease: Live! are here, and in the words of Danny Zuko, they're electrifyin'!
Grease: Live! is a television adaption of the romance between Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson that rocked the fictional 1950s high school, Rydell High. Dancing with the Stars phenom Julianne Hough is set to star as sweet-as-can-be Sandy, while Vanessa Hudgens—who is no stranger to the high school musical genre—will play the role of rough and rowdy Rizzo in the modern re-imagining of the 1978 film, Grease. Hunky Broadway star Aaron Tveit will take over the iconic part of Danny Zuko originally played by John Travolta.
And judging by the photos, we're in for a serious treat. Honestly, has black pleather and teased hair ever looked this good?
The star-studded cast also includes Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy, Dancing with the Stars Season 21 contestant Carlos Penavega as Kenickie, and Mario Lopez will play Vince Fontaine.
The live musical performance starring Hough and Hudgens will air Jan. 31, 2016 on Fox.
