We've barely had time to compose ourselves since Fox released the first-look photos from their upcoming live television event, Grease: Live, and the network has already followed them up with the first promo for their re-imagining of the classic film.
The trailer—which premiered during last night's episode of Scream Queens—shows familiar faces Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, and Carly Rae Jepsen looking like they were born to hand jive against the hallway lockers of iconic Rydell High. Watch the first promo here:
Grease: Live is a television adaption of the romance between Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson that rocked the halls of fictional 1950s high school, Rydell High. Dancing with the Stars phenom Hough is set to star as Sandy, while Hudgens will assume the role of Rizzo. Hunky Broadway star Aaron Tveit, who portrayed Enjolras in the 2012 Les Misérables movie, will take over the part of Danny Zuko originally played by John Travolta. The star-studded cast also includes Jepsen as Frenchy, Dancing with the Stars Season 21 contestant Carlos Penavega as Kenickie, and Mario Lopez will play Vince Fontaine.
The live musical performance will air Jan. 31, 2016, on Fox.
