What a year for Rosamund Pike! The actress starred as Amy Dunne in the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the best-selling Gone Girl thriller, announced that she's pregnant with her second child—and, most recently, has assumed the role of designer.

The English beauty has collaborated with L.K. Bennett, the British brand that counts the Duchess of Cambridge as a fan (see: Kate Middleton's go-to L.K. Bennett nude pumps), to dream up a capsule collection of handbags that epitomize Pike's refined, classic aesthetic.

"I think having a handbag is about feeling that you are holding a little bit of luxury and hopefully that is what this bag will offer," the actress tells InStyle. "To start the process, I sat in the L.K.Bennett studios and sketched what I wanted; a bag to embody modernity, freedom, and independence. I cared a lot about the inside of the bag as I wanted it to look delicious on the outside as well as on the inside. There is an inside-out detail, which is a lovely punctuation mark on the smoothness of the Nappa leather, bringing some of the chaos of the inside onto the outside."

The Rosamund Pike x L.K. Bennett capsule collection ($525 to $625; lkbennett.com) comprises totes in two sizes adorably dubbed "Rosamund" and "Rosie." Crafted from Italian leather calfskin, the totes come in a spectrum of neutral solids, from stone gray to cobalt blue to classic cream, each with a safety pin zip detailing inspired by her favorite earring. Looking for something with a little more zip? Others are treated with rose gold metallics, contrast panels, or graphic black-and-white croc.

In either form, one thing is for sure—this bag is tailor-made for the modern-day woman, a sentiment that Pike readily echoes: "I think that L.K.Bennett is the perfect brand for the working woman because it gives you that ability to feel dressed and polished without feeling overdone and I think that is the key to making you feel good and giving you confidence."
