As swoon-worthy celebrity looks hit the red carpet at the 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards, there were oohs and ahhs let out all over the world (especially at the InStyle offices)—but nothing stirred up quite as big of a response as those deep-diving necklines.

Jennifer Lopez, who's never one to steer clear of sexy silos (hello, the green printed Versace number she wore to the 2000 Grammys), worked a beaded Zuhair Murad number—a J.Lo-favorite—complete with a cape-like detail, which balanced out the plunging neckline. Kate Hudson also turned it out on the red carpet in a white-hot Versace gown featuring cut-outs covered with strips of shimmering silver fabric. And no matter how ornately embellished Sienna Miller's beautiful Miu Miu gown was, nothing drew as much attention as that statement cut.
