Leave it to this season's front-runners—Carol co-stars (not to mention, Golden Globes nominees for Best Actress) Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara—to lead a fashion trend on Golden Globes night. The two have, after all, been known to dress alike on the red carpet.

Blacnhett and Mara sweetened up in both color and finish—Blanchett got girly in a fringed Givenchy dress washed in a princess pink hue, while Mara went for a tragically romantic look in a nude shredded lace Alexander McQueen gown.

And they weren't the only ones. Leslie Mann graced the red carpet in a pale pink Monique Lhuillier gown with a floral-embroidered tulle ball skirt. Katy Perry, on the other hand, drew inspiration from Pantone's Color of the Year—Rose Quartz—and chose a plunging Prada column saturated in the romantic shade. And Kate Hudson looked like a mermaid in her bisque beaded Michael Kors Collection separates. How pretty!
