After a breakthrough year in film and television, which included exciting newcomers like HBO's "Westworld" and NBC's "This Is Us," as well as highlights like power pair Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone dancing and singing their way into our hearts with La La Land and Moonlight, an artfully done coming of age story, this year's Golden Globes nominees promise a diverse, fresh lineup for the 2017 awards.

Don Cheadle, Laura Dern, and Anna Kendrick announced the nominees for the 44th Golden Globe Awards show on Monday morning, and as expected, La La Land made a strong showing, sweeping up multiple categories. There were also a few surprise nominations, like Deadpool and the Lobster. Check out the full list before!

Tune in when Jimmy Fallon hosts the January 8th ceremony, which will be broadcast starting at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
