Taylor Swift may have recently expressed a yearning to step away from the spotlight for a moment, but that doesn't mean that she and her #GirlSquad are taking a break from each other anytime soon. Last night in New York, model and It-girl-about-town Gigi Hadid stepped into New York’s Cipriani restaurant to honor her mother Yolanda Foster's courage, at the inaugural Global Lyme Alliance.
Hadid was mainly focused on spending quality time with her family and boyfriend Joe Jonas, but the beauty wasn't shy about talking all things friendship. So what admirable traits help her choose her inner circle? “I think someone that’s just always there for you. It’s really hard in our industry to make time and so you realize the people that are really making an effort, too,” she told InStyle. “You know that everyone’s so busy all the time, so when they pick up your calls whenever you call or if they text back and say, ‘Hey! I’m on set, but I’ll call you in five minutes,’ and they do, that means they’re a good friend.”
The blonde bombshell, who says she keeps in touch with the family thanks to FaceTime, proceeded to dish on which fellow stars have proven to always be there for her. “In the industry, Taylor [Swift] and Kendall [Jenner] are really good at picking up calls and always helping out, so it’s great,” she said. And while the ladies seemed to have been inseparable this past summer, finding a time to meet isn't a walk in the park. “It always happens really, really last minute, but I think that makes it fun because we all get a group text like, ‘Hey! I’m in New York!’ and then everyone’s excited if you’re there.”
We can’t to see what the close-knit group gets up to next.
