Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, one of the world’s most famous couples, have broken up and now we don’t know who to stalk on social media.
Hadid, 22, and Malik, 25, have parted ways after two years of dating, according to the Sun. While break ups are tough at any age and any income level, both Hadid and Malik happen to have already seriously grown their net worths in their young careers.
Jet-setting off to the South of France or going on a shopping spree has to make getting over a break up easier, right?
Gigi Hadid Net Worth
Hadid was one of the world’s highest paid models in 2017, according to Forbes. The magazine placed her salary at $9.5 million, making her the fifth highest paid model of the year.
That $9.5 million per year comes in large part from her contracts with major brands like Maybelline, Tommy Hilfiger and Versace, as well as non-fashion brands like BWM and Evian, according to UK newspaper Express.
She actually started making money years earlier as a child model, though, before her face was recognizable to the world. She stopped working to experience a normal childhood, but returned to the business with an IMG contract at age 17, according to Gobanking rates.
Having 30 million Instagram followers hasn’t hurt Hadid’s net worth either. She is mostly likely paid anywhere from $125,000-$300,000 to post something for a brand, a social media analytics company told CR Fashion Book.
It’s also safe to assume Hadid has made money off her TV appearances in broadcasts like the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a reality show on which her mother Yolanda Foster used to be a series regular.
Zayn Malik Net Worth
Malik’s net worth is higher than Hadid’s from having been a part of one of the world’s most famous boy bands, One Direction, which he left to venture out on his own with a solo career in 2015.
The Richest guestimates Malik’s net worth is around $20 million, though the exact number is not known. Forbes reported that One Direction is the highest-earning boy band of all time, making $130 million in 2013 alone.
A British newspaper, The Times, reported Malik’s net worth to be around $49 million, though The Sun wrote that it could be as high as $63 million.
