We were obsessed with the graphic prints and bold brush strokes that splashed each piece on the Celine spring 2014 runway, but it was the chunky fringed scarf that had us doing a double-take. While it isn't exactly conducive to spring-summer dressing, the texture, the bow (basically, everything) added that extra kick of intrigue. Consider it the perfect sartorial solution to cold and warm weather dressing. So, we took it upon ourselves to emulate the look, though with a much lighter, summery pick. Learn to master the "Celine knot" with our GIF scarf tutorial below.
Instead of chunky fringed knit, we opted for a lighter, tasseled version: Nasty Gal ($25; nastygal.com). For a similar style, we also like this one from Loft ($35; loft.com).
Loop the scarf around your neck once.
Tuck one end into the loop from above (don't pull it all the way through), forming a small hole.
Thread the other end through the small hole, and pull both ends to secure the knot.
