George and Amal Clooney are taking Manhattan by storm. Following their weekend date night, the duo stepped out again in N.Y.C. on Tuesday night, this time to support a good cause. The Clooneys attended the event for the 100 Lives Initiative, an organization that aims to tell the stories of those who risked their lives during the Armenian Genocide.
The couple opted for matching ensembles for the night. Amal looked gorgeous as ever in a simple violet shift dress with intricate side cutouts, while George wore a matching tie paired with a pale blue shirt and dark gray suit.
Clooney spoke at the event, where it was announced that his organization, Not On Our Watch, was partnering with 100 Lives on a new humanitarian prize called The Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity. Clooney will be the co-chair of the selection committee. "I am honored to be associated with 100 lives as it shares a common mission with my foundation, Not On Our Watch, to focus global attention on the impact of genocide as well as putting resources towards ending mass atrocities around the world," he said. "It should weigh heavily on all of us that genocide still takes place today. We have to tackle this head on—as individuals, as communities and as governments."
