Hollywood's cutest couple just got even cuter.

George and Amal Clooney adopted a 4-year-old shelter pup named Millie on Wednesday.

The Clooneys rescued the long-eared, short-legged basset hound from California's San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, and by all accounts this dog has hit the jackpot: the homeless pooch was found scrounging for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month.

“Today her luck changed for the better when she was adopted by George and Amal Clooney,” reads a message on the shelter's website. “They were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie's picture on Petfinder.”

The pair spent an hour and a half at the shelter doing a “meet and greet” with the pup, and introduced her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie (in the picture above). Apparently, the dogs hit it off and Millie became their new family member.

“Millie found her forever home and the Clooneys have a new best friend,” Jennifer Clarke, the shelter's social media coordinator, tells PEOPLE. “They all left together as one big happy family!”

This isn't the first time the actor has rescued a dog in need. In 2010, he adopted an overweight shelter dog named Einstein.
