It's a big day for Game of Thrones fans: Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister on the HBO show, is expecting her second child!
“I’m happy to confirm that I’m having my second child this summer,” the British actress, 41, told People. “I only hope that this announcement can help me to regain some of the privacy I have recently lost to prying photographers and ask that they please respect my privacy and let me enjoy this time.”
Headey is already mom to 4-year-old son Wylie, whom she had with her ex-husband, musician Peter Loughran.
HBO has not said whether Headey's pregnancy will impact the show's plot but with Season 5 of Game of Thrones premiering in less than two months (set your DVRs for April 12!) decisions will have to be made soon—if they haven't been made already. But one thing you can most certainly expect next season is more shocking character deaths. George R.R. Martin, creator of the show, told Showbiz 411 of the upcoming season, "People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy," he said. "So everybody better be on their toes."
