Funnyman Andy Samberg to Host the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards!

Andy Samberg is going to have a busy fall: The Saturday Night Live alum and Brooklyn 99 star will host this year's Emmy Awards!

This will be his biggest hosting gig to date, though awards shows are not unfamiliar territory for Samberg. He performed at this year's Oscars with his fellow members from Lonely Island and at last year's Emmys. He also hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 2009 and the Film Independent Spirit Awards in 2013.

Clearly, Samberg is quite excited for the event, which takes place on Sept. 20. “Buckle your seat belts, Emmy viewers!” said Samberg in a statement. “Like, in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seat belt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I’m hosting, and it’s gonna be a wild ride. So buckle your seat belts.”

Hosts in recent years have included Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, and Jimmy Kimmel. Our big question is, can Samberg get his frequent collaborator Justin Timberlake to make an appearance?

The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will air from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
