Summer just got a little bit cooler for Frozen fans. While Frozen 2 doesn't have a release date just yet, the production company is releasing a new Frozen project to hold the movie's fanatics over in the meantime via a short film series called Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights.

Frozen will get a LEGO-animated makeover for the series, which will not only have a line of consumer products but also a series of novels set to debut in July, according to Entertainment Weekly. The Disney Channel will go on to air the series' four shorts and a special from LEGO Group this fall.

To make the news of the series even more exciting, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel will all be returning to voice Anna, Olaf, and Elsa, respectively. The announcement of the series comes just months after Disney Theatrical Group revealed a musical adaptation of Frozen will open in the spring of 2018 following a limited pre-Broadway engagement of it in the summer of 2017.
