Ever since the "athleisure" movement gained momentum, the fashion term has been casually thrown around here and there. But what does athleisure look like exactly? It's the integration of sportswear into your day-to-day outfit rotation, it treads the line between gymwear and acceptable streetwear, and most importantly, it aims to achieve comfort. We pieced together four athleisure-centric outfits fit for any occasion, from Thanksgiving dinner to weekend brunch. Consider this a lesson in how to get away with wearing sweatpants in public—and look chic doing it. You'll see, this might be your most comfortable weekend yet.

1. Thanksgiving dinner (or any dressy event): Offset the casual slouch of drawstring joggers with a crisp white button-down. Elevate your look even further with a luxe sweatshirt and pumps (find sweats that cinch at the ankles to show off a pair of killer heels).Shop the look (at top): J.Crew sweatshirt, $78; jcrew.com. Joe Fresh button-down, $20; joefresh.com. Zara joggers, $80; zara.com. Steve Madden mesh pumps, $90; stevemadden.com.

2. Travel: Headed to your relatives? Plan for a smooth, turbulent-free journey with cozy pieces, from track pants to easy slip-ons (passing through airport security will be a breeze).

3. Weekend brunch (or Black Friday shopping, casual hang-outs): Hit the sales or step out for brunch, or do both, in a comfy cotton-jersey dress and chic black-and-white sneaks. Throw on tights, add a layer of knit, and top it off with a beanie for chillier days.
