The numbers are in, and television's highest-paid actor for 2016 is—drumroll, please—Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons!
This is the second year in a row that Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS sitcom, has topped the Forbes list of television's highest-paid actors. From June 1, 2015 to June 1, 2016, the outlet reports that Parsons raked in a whopping $25.5 million, securing him the top spot yet again.
Parsons leads a field dominated by Big Bang Theory actors. In the second position, Johnny Galecki is sitting pretty with $24 million in earnings, while Simon Helberg (another Big Bang Theory star) comes in hot at third with a cool $22.5 million. Kunal Nayyar lands right behind Helberg after taking home an annual $22 million.
Earlier this week Forbes released its list of the highest-paid TV actresses of 2016 which ranked Modern Family's Sofía Vergara well above Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco's $24.5 million paycheck. According to the magazine, Vergara hauled in $43 million over the past year, the most that any TV actor, male or female has ever made.
