There's only a few weeks left in 2015, which means it's time for Facebook's end of the year review. Today, the social media platform revealed the topics that users, liked, shared, and posted about the most over the last twelve months. As you might expect, current events like the upcoming United States presidential election and the Syrian refugee crisis dominated much of the political conversation, but the entertainment category proved a bit more surprising.

Despite Taylor Swift's celebrity-filled 1989 World Tour and Kanye West's viral Video Music Award speech, as well as the arrival of Saint West, the two mega stars were not the most talked about entertainers of the year. British crooner Ed Sheeran earned the top spot, with Swift and West came in the second and third spots, respectively. Way to go, Ed!

In terms of TV, the twists and turns on HBO's Game of Thrones caused the most chatter on Facebook, while the upcoming Star Wars film trended all year long. To see more of what resonated with users around the world, watch the company's year in review video below.
