At the 2016 Oscars, Chris Rock used his platform as host to help his daughters outsell the rest of their troop. As seen on national television, the girls raked in a whopping $65,243 with the help of generous A-list celebs sitting in the audience. Now, Girl Scouts of the USA is having another moment in the spotlight. In honor of Women's History Month and International Women's Day (Mar. 8), the organization is teaming up with Facebook for its “She’s Our Future–I Stand with Girls” campaign.
As part of their partnership, Girl Scouts and Facebook have created a fun Facebook frame (see, above), available starting today, that anyone with a Facebook account can add to their profile picture. In doing so, those using the frame have communicated their desire to stand with women and recognize their importance to our collective future.
