Actress Eva Longoria who first won us over starring in Desperate Housewives, made us laugh with her cameo on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and recently celebrated her 40th birthday—Happy belated, Eva!—has another reason to celebrate: Her bedding collection designed for JCPenney hits stores today.
For Longoria—an interior design enthusiast who's no stranger to the sewing machine and has been known to make decorative pillows for her friends—working on this collection was a total passion project. "I was involved every step of the way of the design process, from choosing the textiles and the beading on the pillows, to how they will be arranged in stores," she says.
Each of the four sets is inspired by her travels from all over the world. With the black-and-white Marrakech series (at top), Longoria wanted to give a classic hotel look a modern update, so she created a geometric pattern that echoes the graphic lattice-work found all around Morocco. And the deep blue of the Adana set (above), says Longoria, "is reminiscent of the Mediterranean sea, and gives the room a touch of worldly elegance."
Prices for the bedding range from $30 to $170. Check out the full collection here. Happy shopping.
