Hermione Granger is now a college graduate! Emma Watson—who famously played Harry Potter's brainy pal in the Harry Potter film franchise—graduated with a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brown University on Sunday. The actress, 24, who was among 2,000 students receiving degrees from the Ivy League school in Providence, R.I., proudly tweeted a photo of herself in her cap and gown (above) with an excited "!" as her tweet.
The ultra-stylish British actress made her education a priority while juggling a busy film career (including starring in the recent Darren Aronofsky biblical epic Noah with Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly and the upcoming thriller Regression with Ethan Hawke, due out in 2015).
"I'm about to graduate in May," she told Ellen DeGeneres in March. "So in America you guys graduate in four years and I'll graduate in five. I ended up taking two full semesters off and then I worked during all of my breaks."
Watson started her education at Brown in 2009, the same year she was named the highest-grossing actress of the decade by the Guinness Book of World Records.
