Emma Stone may naturally be a blonde, but it’s easy to forget, considering she has the uncanny ability to effortlessly pull off any hair color she chooses and make it look completely natural. Case in point: After sticking with russet strands for a while, Stone has dyed her hair a rich chocolate brown.

The actress showed off the look to full effect when she stepped out in L.A. yesterday. Although the somber shade and soft fringe are unexpected choices as we move toward the warmer season, Stone isn’t the only star who’s toned her mane down for spring. Last month, Sarah Hyland dyed her blonde ombré highlights a deep brunette.

While we aren’t sure if Stone’s dye job is for her upcoming role in the Rosemary Kennedy biopic, we are digging her deviation from the norm for spring.
