The stunning Emily Ratajkowski, who played a key role in Gone Girl, was on hand at New York Fashion Week, sitting front row at the Jason Wu show. We chatted with the multitasking model slash actress about her first fashion week experience, how she got ready for the day, and her role in Gone Girl. Read on for more straight from Ratajkowski.
On her first #NYFW experience
"This is basically my first fashion week. I went last year a little bit but I was shooting my movie, so I wasn't able to attend as much. This is my first show of the week. It's so great. I was able to meet Jason [Wu] last week and talk about the show. It's exciting to be part of the whole process. I flew in this morning so I didn't have much time to get ready. All I need is a nice shower and a good cup of black coffee."
On her role in Gone Girl
"I was just really happy to be a part of Gone Girl. The accolades are exciting and awesome, but the important thing was to deliver this message and I think that comes across based on the response we've gotten. It wasn't hard for me at all to get into my character. I think she's really relatable—she's a girl that's in love with someone who she thinks represents her future, but it's not attainable yet so she's stuck. I think every young woman has been in that position in their life where they're stuck. It was easy for me to play that part."
