It’s been less than a week since Adele released her highly anticipated single, "Hello," and the moving ballad has already become a pop culture phenomenon, amassing more than 130 million views on YouTube. So it’s no surprise that for her latest spoof, funny lady Ellen DeGeneres took on the hit’s music video on The Ellen Show.

In the hilarious, minutes-long video, the host hops on a fictional call on a mammoth cordless phone with Adele as the songstress simply replies with her slow, emotional hymns. “A lot of people don’t realize her new song is based on a conversation that we had,” DeGeneres explains to her live audience. Moments later, the comedian struggles to clearly hear the singer and delivers a series of unforgettable quips. The best part? Drake and Lionel Richie also make short, must-watch cameos.
