With just a few short weeks to go until Game of Thrones returns on April 6th, the who’s who of Westeros headed to New York City to premiere the fourth season of their hit HBO series. The cast put their costumes and weapons aside to don their best red carpet attire—Emilia Clarke (in Donna Karan), Maisie Williams, Lena Headey (in Jenny Packham), and Sophie Turner (in Peter Pilotto) (pictured above, from left to right) were hard to recognize in their gorgeous gowns. Other cast members, including Peter Dinklage, Gwendoline Christie, Jack Gleeson, and Carice van Houten also came out to celebrate at Lincoln Center, which was taken over by a replica of one of the shows largest dragons, Drogon.
Attendees at the after party, which took place at the Museum of Natural History, were able to place themselves inside scenes from the show, strapping on headsets that allowed them to "Ascend the Wall" in a virtual reality experience that simulated a winch elevator ascending 700 feet up to the top of a vertical ice barrier. Participants were met with White Walkers, resulting in a frightening experience. The party scene was swathed in Game of Thrones themed decor, with fur-wrapped dragon eggs filled with Red Hots on the menu and stunning costumes from the show on display.
