Just after midnight on Wednesday, President Donald Trump tweeted a cryptic message, the absurdity of which has left the Internet reeling.

“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” he wrote in the now deleted Tweet. COVFEFE?

The Donald then left us to unfurl the mystery of his exotic vocabulary.

Twitter had some thoughts, many of which were so brilliant they'll make your sad post-holiday weekday feel like 4 p.m. Friday. Behold ...

OK, we realize that Trump probably meant to type "coverage," but this typo has brought the American people together in a way that only viral tweets can, and for that we are forever grateful. Thank you, "covfefe."
