Looking to add a little extra drama to your peepers this weekend? Take a cue from Debra Messing, who wowed with exaggerated eyes at the the 2012 United Nations Every Woman Every Child Dinner in New York City. And we got the inside scoop! To make the Smash star's green eyes really pop, her makeup artist Gita Bass first lined her top and bottom lids with Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes in Forest Green ($18, sephora.com). Before the waterproof liner set, she blended the top lid to create a soft, smudged line. "Debra is blessed with thick and insanely long lashes," Bass told InStyle.com, "but for extra drama, I applied individual lashes to fill in any gaps." After curling and applying two coats of mascara, Bass pulled out the big guns: Ardell Duralash Knot-Free Long Black Lashes ($5, purespadirect.com). She started by attaching medium-length lashes to the outer corners and then alternated with shorts all the way along the lash line for thickness and length. The final touch: tracing over the upper lash line with a gel liner in black for extra intensity.
