Kate Moss has been synonymous with luxury jewelry brand David Yurman for over a decade, when in 2004 the model first starred in their campaign. Since then, gorgeous black and white images of the star (and the brand’s gorgeous baubles, of course) have become a signature part of the brand’s aesthetics. But now, they're mixing things up with something a little different.
For the first time in the history of the brand, David Yurman’s ad images have been shot in color. The 2015 fall/winter campaign features the ever-stunning Moss and German model Anna Ewers as its faces, in photographs shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott and styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele.
The images feature Moss and Ewers glowing in pavé gemstone designs and 18k gold pieces, looking effortlessly beautiful (as if that’s a surprise), and InStyle got a sneak peek at the exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of the stars shooting the campaign (above and below).
“Our objective for this campaign is to extend the language of jewelry and the expression of artistry. We wanted the imagery and the introduction of color to evoke joy, lightness and life,” says David Yurman co-founder Sybil Yurman. “It had to have a spirit of playfulness yet sophistication, and signal empowerment and confidence. The layering of jewelry and the distinct style speaks to our unconventional perspective and personality,”
The featured assortment is currently available, with additional styles launching later this year at David Yurman retail locations and davidyurman.com.
