The reviews are in, the release date is set, and the soundtrack has dropped, so last night it was time for Fifty Shades of Grey stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan to walk the red carpet together for the first time at the Berlin Film Festival. And Johnson couldn't have looked chicer in her choice of slinky black Christian Dior gown.
The actress has stuck firmly to monochrome wardrobe during the film's promo trail, and the world premiere was no exception. Her Dior gown was a sleek, simple design with a plunging neckline and wrap effect detail. To complement its simplicity, she wore her hair in lightly tousled waves with a blunt fringe and painted her lips a velvety matte crimson shade. A delicate choker and pearl ring were all the accessories she needed, other than her leading man, of course.
And Dornan didn't disappoint, looking every inch as dashing as his on-screen alter-ego, Christian Grey, in a perfectly cut black tuxedo. His rugged beardy look was still going strong and he endeared us with the addition of a blue bow tie and matching handkerchief.
Dornan's wife Amelia Warner (above, right) also joined him on the red carpet; she opted for a red lace jumpsuit. Director Sam Taylor Johnson, who attended with her husband Aaron Taylor Johnson (below), and wore a backless white gown, offering a style statement of her own.
Since the Fifty Shades cast nailed their first red carpet, we can't wait to see the second installment tomorrow night at the London premiere.
