The stars are aligning—for an amazing cause. Naomi Campbell and model Nina Agdal are among the famous faces to sign on to #CycleForTheCause, a charity project from New York's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center with an annual bike ride to raise money and awareness for AIDS.
According to the center, 1.2 million Americans are living with HIV today and continue to experience serious adverse health effects and face stigma from those around them. The campaign's "Don’t Go BACKWARDS" mantra hopes not only to fight against the disease but the stigma as well.
This year's unique campaign features a GIF series featuring famous supporters—including Campbell, Agdal, Lance Bass, Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Field, and fitness trainer Tracy Anderson—on bicycles. The GIFs, as well as personal stories and supportive statements from the stars, hit social media today, so check out their Instagram feeds and stories, Snapchat stories, and Facebooks—and see a selection below.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center's annual Cycle for the Cause bike ride will start in Boston Sept. 15 and end in N.Y.C. Sept. 18. Head to cycleforthecause.org for more information.
