It's no small secret that the '90s are alive and well. Full House made its triumphant return to television. Stationary goddess Lisa Frank penned a coloring book solely for adults. Pokémon are literally everywhere you look. Now, Pepsi is jumping on the nostalgia bandwagon by re-releasing Crystal Pepsi, the iconic clear-colored soda that was the stuff teen dreams were made of from 1992-93.
"We've always had a special place in our heart for Crystal Pepsi, and there has been a huge groundswell of support to bring it back," Pepsi's senior director of marketing, Stacy Taffet, said in a press release. In conjunction with the drink's limited-time reprisal, the brand also launched "The Crystal Pepsi Trail," a riff on the computer game "The Oregon Trail," on its website, complete with graphics synonymous with the decade.
Crystal Pepsi is available for purchase at major retailers now for a suggested retail price of $1.79 a pop, but we expect these bottles will fly off the shelves faster than you can say "Furby." Get 'em while they're cold.
