Ciara took to Instagram Thursday to share a series of sweet pics and videos of her son's birthday celebrations. Baby Future Zahir Wilburn officially turned the big 2 with an Elmo-themed birthday party, which featured an Elmo birthday cake and Elmo hats for the guests.

The birthday festivities really kicked off in the morning, however, when the singer first shared a black-and-white photo of herself cradling Future Jr. (above) and wrote a sweet ode to her little boy.

"It was just yesterday I was holding you in my arms like I am in this photo. Now my angel baby boy is 2 years old!!" she said in the caption

"Running around, talking up a storm, learning fast & getting into everything! It has truly been the best life experience watching you grow! I am so grateful to god for you, & I can't wait to see all the many other amazing things he has in store for you! Mommy loves you soooo much!"

Ciara also shared an intimate moment in a video of herself attempting to make a Disney-themed breakfast for the special day. "Trying to make Mickey Mouse pancakes for Juicy Man's birthday! They weren't perfect, but he approved," she wrote in the caption. Watch the adorable video here:

The birthday boy's dad Future, Ciara's ex, also shared a touching birthday message on Instagram that acknowledged his son's budding musical talent. The rapper captioned the simple snap of his son standing up and playing the piano, "The gifted face every challenge with confidence. To [know] u is to love u forever my son my heart my inspiration!! Happy 2nd born day."
