Ladies and gentlemen, it's Lady Marmalade's birthday!
Christina Aguilera is turning 35 today and she's also celebrating her upcoming return to Season 10 of The Voice. Aguilera is set to reprise her role as a coach next to co-stars Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams. While we'll have to wait until February 2016 for her return, we're looking back at the pop singer's transformation dating back to 1985 in honor of her big day.
The 35-year-old first burst onto the scene in the 1990s on Star Search and as a mouseketeer in The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Ryan Gosling. In 1999, Aguilera then released her self-titled debut album with hits including "Genie in a Bottle," "What a Girl Wants" and "Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You)."
What happened next was world acclaim as she continued to release more albums, including 2002's Stripped and 2006's Back to Basics. In total, Aguilera has released seven records and has also collaborated on several hit songs, including Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and A Great Big World's "Say Something," which earned a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance.
Aside from her musical endeavors, the pop sensation is also a mother of two, son Max Liron Bratman (with ex-husband Jordan Bratman) and daughter Summer Rain Rutler, whom she shares with fiancé Matthew Rutler. In honor of the pop diva's 35th birthday, take a look back at her transformation through the years.
