Chris Hemsworth, is that you? While we're used to seeing handsome selfies on the actor's Instagram feed, his latest snap has us doing a double-take.
For his latest film, In the Heart of the Sea, Hemsworth slimmed down to depict a 17th Century sailor, and he proved just how much his body changed for the role with his latest Instagram. "Just tried a new diet/training program called 'Lost At Sea.' Wouldn't recommend it.. #IntheHeartoftheSea," Hemsworth captioned a shirtless photo of himself from the set of the film, which was shot in Spain. In the 'gram, Hemsworth is thinner than ever, and his new physique coupled with his unkempt hair and beard make him look virtually unrecognizable.
In the Heart of the Sea tells the true story of a whaling ship called The Essex whose crew was stranded on an island after the ship was overturned by a massive sperm whale. The story is based on a novel of the same name and is actually the tale that inspired Moby Dick. In the Heart of the Sea hits theaters on Dec. 11.
