The most stylish of film festivals opened today as two legendary brands celebrated historical red-carpet moments, one a final, and one a first. At the Cannes premiere of Robin Hood, Cate Blanchett wore a stunning black and silver eagle-emblazoned gown from the late Alexander McQueen's Pre-Fall 2010 collection that the designer personally selected for the actress before his death. And Salma Hayek debuted Gucci's first-ever couture gown, a bordeaux silk one-shouldered number with deep red crystal embroidery, from Frida Giannini's Gucci Premiere collection. It's only Day 1 and the gorgeous looks are already taking our breath away—we can't wait to see what's next!
