Camila Cabello was one of the brave singers who performed in the freezing cold on New Year’s Eve in N.Y.C., and she had a surprising trick for staying warm in the “negative-30-degree wind chill,” though if you ask Cabello, she’ll tell you it was more like “negative 100.”
“I’m from Miami so that’s just not great,” she told Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday’s show. “During the sound check I couldn’t feel my chin.”
So Cabello got creative with her hand warmers. “I was wearing two layers of clothing or like three layers of clothing,” she said. “So I put them everywhere, and I put them, uh, down there. And it helped a lot.”

“I couldn’t put them in my toes because then it makes the shoe uncomfortable and this was like the only place that I could do it,” she joked. “So I put it like right above my underwear but underneath my pants. It was great. I think I’ll do that anytime I perform in negative 30 degrees.”
Apparently putting hand warmers in your pants can make the below-freezing temps in N.Y.C. feel like Havana.
